Atlantic Bluefin Tuna Tail - 30in x 22in

The Atlantic Bluefin tuna is one of the fastest fish in the ocean reaching speeds in excess of 30 knots or 40 mph. The largest specimens can reach well over 10 feet in length and push 2000lbs but most tuna average 500lbs. The Bluefin is also the largest member of the mackerel family.

Prized by chefs, sportsmen, and commercial fishermen worldwide, the bluefin tuna is  truly a legendary fish. This tuna was caught in the Gulf of Maine during the 2021 tuna season. The tail measures 21.5in from tip to tip. Printed on mulberry-based rice paper with acrylic-based ink and finished with lightfast pigments. Wet mounted for rigidity and archival stability.  

This artwork ships rolled in a sturdy cardboard mailing tube.
