カキ (Kumamoto Oysters) - 20.5in x 11.5in
Named after the region where they are grown Kumamoto oysters have a fresh, sweet, slightly briny taste. In contrast to Maine's Atlantic oyster Kumamtotos have gnarled, rough shells that have purple hues mixed with green and dark umber creating a unique visually appealing artwork.
These five Kumamoto oysters are depicted on handmade mulberry-based rice paper with oil-based ink and finished with lightfast pigments. Wet mounted for rigidity and archival stability. This is a one of a kind original artwork.
Medium - Oil-base Ink on Handmade Unryu.
Framed Dimensions - 20.5in x 11.5in
Frame Material - 1.5in Natural Oiled Cherry
NOTE: Artwork listed in the 'Kindred Tides' Collection is currently on exhibit at the Maine Maritime Museum in Bath Maine and will not ship until after the exhibit closes on September 29th, 2024.
